SWITCH USER GUIDE / CREATE MODE

Create a
Switch mode

Create a Switch mode for a flow you want to use again.

Prepare its name, category, timer, sound, and devices in one place.

01

Start a new mode

The Mac screen for entering a new Switch name and category
Choose a name and category, and preview how the card will look.
  1. Open Switch in OneCentrate.
  2. Select the ADD NEW MODE card.
  3. Enter a mode name in Basic Settings.
  4. If needed, add a description and category, and turn on Favorite.

A mode name cannot be empty or match a name already in use. A short, specific name is easier to recognize on the card and active screen.

02

Choose what appears on the card

The card's secondary line can appear in two ways.

  • Settings: Summarizes key settings such as the timer and linked apps.
  • Note: Shows the description from Basic Settings. If the description is empty, the settings summary appears instead.

Use the card preview on the right to check how the name and secondary line will appear.

03

Choose a theme

The Mac screen for setting a Switch background theme and previewing its card
Use a photo, artwork, or color to shape the appearance of the Switch card and active screen.

Use the Theme tab to set the appearance of the Switch card and active screen.

  • Choose a photo or artwork included with OneCentrate as the background.
  • You can also create the card with a single color.
  • When you use a photo, adjust the framing for both the card and full-screen view.
  • Match a color card to the selected category color, or choose another color.

04

Finish the settings and save

You only need to configure the items you need. If you do not connect an app or music, you can use a simple timer-focused Switch.

  1. Review the Timer, Sound, Triggers & Integrations, and Devices tabs.
  2. Check the card preview and the information you entered.
  3. Select Save.

To edit an existing mode, touch and hold or secondary-click its card, then select Mode Settings.
