01
Start a Switch

- Open Switch in OneCentrate.
- Find the Switch card you want to start.
- Select the Switch card. On Mac, you can also use the play button in the lower-right corner of the card.
The current device must be selected under Devices for that Switch before it can start there. The card may still appear on an unselected device, but OneCentrate shows a device support message. Only one Switch can run at a time on a device.
02
Check progress

When a Switch starts, the active screen shows:
- The Switch name and description
- Elapsed or remaining time
- The current focus or break stage
- Pause and end controls
- Extra time, when enabled
- Music and ambient sound controls
Countdown and Deadline show the time remaining. Count Up shows the time elapsed since you started.
03
Pause or resume
Select Pause on the active screen to stop the timer together with music and ambient playback. To continue, select Resume on Mac, iPhone, or iPad.
If extra focus or break time is enabled in Mode Settings, you can add the configured amount from the active screen.
04
End a Switch
Select End on the active screen to end the current Switch. Its duration and how it ended are saved in Switch history.
What happens when the timer finishes depends on Mode Settings. You can end the Switch, repeat the same focus flow, or continue with another Switch.
If a card does not start or stops immediately, see If a Switch does not work as expected and check its devices, auto start, and music in order.
