SWITCH USER GUIDE / WIDGETS AND MANAGEMENT

Manage Switch widgets
and modes

Arrange frequently used Switch modes in widget slots, and move modes you do not need right now to Archive to organize the list.

01

Set Widget Quick-Launch Slots

The iPad screen for assigning six Switch Widget Quick-Launch Slots
Arrange up to six Switch modes in the order they should appear for each widget size.
  1. Open Switch on iPhone or iPad.
  2. Open Switch Manage.
  3. Select Widgets.
  4. Choose the Switch to show in each slot from 1 through 6.

You can select only Switch modes that can run on the current device. You cannot place the same Switch in more than one slot.

The number of visible slots depends on the widget size.

  • Small: Slot 1
  • Medium: Slots 1 through 3
  • Large · Extra Large: Up to slots 1 through 6

Selecting a mode card that is not running in the widget opens OneCentrate and requests that Switch to start. If it starts successfully, apps and webpages linked on the current iPhone or iPad also open. Selecting the currently running mode requests a manual end, and a new mode will not start while another Switch is already running. The app opening alone does not mean the request succeeded, so confirm the actual running state.

02

Archive a Switch

Archive a mode you do not need right now but may want to use again later, instead of deleting it.

  1. On Mac, secondary-click the Switch card. On iPhone or iPad, touch and hold it.
  2. Choose Archive and confirm. You can also use Archive Mode in Mode Settings.
  3. Open Archive in Switch Manage to find the mode you moved.

If you archive an active Switch, its current run ends first. An archived mode is removed from the regular Switch list and the modes available to widgets.

03

Restore an archived Switch

Archive a Switch you do not need right now, then restore it when you need it again.
  1. Open Switch Manage.
  2. Select Archive.
  3. Select Restore for the Switch you want to use again.

The restored Switch returns to the list of modes you can run. If you have reached the active card limit for your plan, you may need to organize another mode first.

04

Delete a Switch mode

Secondary-click or touch and hold a Switch card, then choose delete. You can also delete a mode from Mode Settings. If the mode is running, its current run ends manually first.

You cannot restore a deleted mode, but existing Switch run history remains. Links from ki.log lists and Pulse rhythms to the deleted mode are also removed. Archive the mode instead if you might use it again.

05

Delete all Switch modes

In Switch Manage, you can delete all active and archived modes. On iPhone or iPad, deleting every mode also resets the widget slots. After deleting from Mac, if empty slots remain in an iPhone or iPad widget, reorganize them under Widgets in Switch Manage.

When there are no modes, you can create the default Switch samples again from Samples.
