OneCentrate/Customize/Artwork framing

Adjust framing for
cards and screens

The visible area of the same photo differs between a wide card and a square surface. Adjust each frame so important content is not cut off.

Framing does not edit the original photo. OneCentrate remembers only the area to display at each aspect ratio.

01

Understand the two display formats

Frame a photo
Switch between CARD 16:9 and COMPACT 1:1 and adjust each area separately.
  • CARD 16:9: The area used on wide surfaces such as landscape cards.
  • COMPACT 1:1: The area used on near-square small cards and compact surfaces.

Moving the frame for one format does not automatically move the other to the same position. Select each button in turn and review both results.

02

Move and resize the photo area

  1. Choose a photo or OneCentrate artwork under the card's theme or background.
  2. In the framing editor, choose CARD 16:9 or COMPACT 1:1.
  3. Drag inside the frame to reposition the visible area.
  4. Drag a corner to expand or reduce the visible area.
  5. Review both formats, select Apply, then save the card settings.

Leave enough room inside both frames around anything that must remain visible, such as a face, text, or an object. Some edges may be covered depending on the screen size and placement.

03

Consider compact surfaces

A photo that looks balanced on a wide Mac card can have a different center on a small iPhone card, widget, or Apple Watch. Keep the main subject simple in COMPACT 1:1.

After applying the framing, review the card and related system surfaces on the devices you use most. If an image has not downloaded yet or the device is offline, a default background may appear first.

04

Change the framing later

In an existing card's editor, select the same photo again to continue adjusting its saved framing. If you replace it with another photo or artwork, review both formats for the new image.

Pulse weekday backgrounds and the HOME background have a different scope from the two card-framing formats. Changing card framing does not change their positions.
