Open apps and
webpages

Open the apps and webpages you need when a Switch starts, so you can spend less time getting ready.

Launch items are configured separately for each device.

Choose apps to open automatically on Mac

Prepare the apps and webpages you need to open with a Switch.
  1. Create a new Switch or open the settings for an existing Switch.
  2. Select Mac in the Devices tab.
  3. Select Add App, then choose an app to open automatically.
  4. If you add a browser, enter the URL to open with it.
  5. Save the settings.

When the Switch starts, the apps and webpages in the list open. To prevent the loss of unsaved work, OneCentrate does not close apps or webpages it opened when the Switch ends.

Check launch items for iPhone and iPad

iPhone and iPad show the apps or URLs saved to open on each device. When you select a card on the Switch screen, OneCentrate requests to open those items as the Switch starts.

You can use a Switch without any apps or URLs. In that case, it runs as a timer-focused Switch on that device.

If an item does not open

If an app or webpage does not open, check the following:

  • The app is installed on the current device.
  • The web address you entered is correct.
  • The current device is included under Devices for this Switch.
  • An iPhone or iPad launch item is not shown in the gray Installation Required state.

Results may vary depending on whether an external app is installed and how it supports URLs. Before relying on an important flow, start it manually once to make sure it works as expected.
