PULSE USER GUIDE / CREATE A RHYTHM

Create a new
Pulse rhythm

Name an activity or break you want to repeat, then turn it into a rhythm for your week in Pulse.

Start with the basic information and card background, then add the days and time rules.

01

Start a new rhythm

The Basic Settings screen for a new Pulse rhythm on a Mac in English
Define the rhythm first, then add the settings you need in each tab.

Open Pulse in OneCentrate and add a new rhythm. The edit screen separates Basic Settings, Background, Days / Time, Notification Settings, Link, and Notification Devices into tabs.

You do not need to complete every setting at once, but a rhythm needs a name and at least one time rule before you can save it.

02

Choose a name and basic information

  • Rhythm Name: Enter a name that is easy to recognize on the card and in the weekday view.
  • Note: Add a brief note about the purpose of the rhythm or anything you want to remember.
  • Category: Choose a group such as STUDY, WORK, or LIFE.
  • Card Secondary Line: Choose whether the lower part of the card shows settings or your note.

A rhythm name cannot be empty or duplicate a name already in use. A short, specific name is easier to distinguish in the weekday view and in alerts.

03

Choose a card background

In Background, choose a photo, artwork, or color for the rhythm card. On Mac, you can use an image from your files or photo library, or choose one of the provided images or colors.

After you choose a photo, adjust its position and size in the card preview so the important part remains visible. This background helps identify the rhythm card and is managed separately from the full weekday-view background.

04

Check the rhythm before saving

A new rhythm includes a draft time rule for weekdays from 9:00 to 9:30 AM. Check that the days and times match your routine, then adjust them as needed.

To show the rhythm in your active flow, make it active and set at least one recurring day and start and end time. You cannot save it if time rules within the rhythm overlap or if its schedule overlaps another active rhythm.
