PULSE USER GUIDE / HOLIDAYS

Rest automatically
on public holidays

Prepare public holidays in your activity region as exceptions, then choose only the rhythms that should rest on those dates.

01

Choose an activity region and review holidays

Pulse Holidays settings on a Mac in English, showing automatic rest, South Korea as the region, and a preview of 2026 holidays
Review public holidays for your activity region before applying them as Pulse exceptions.

In Pulse Settings > Holidays, turn on Pause Pulse notifications on public holidays and choose your activity region. When the preview for that region is ready, review each holiday’s date and name.

After reviewing the list, choose Apply as Exception for any holidays that have not yet been applied. Exceptions you apply this way remain in place even if you later turn off automatic holiday rest. If you change regions, check that both the new list and your saved exceptions match the region you intend to use.

02

Choose the rhythms that rest on holidays

In Days / Time for each rhythm, turn on Pause This Rhythm on Holidays. Holiday exceptions apply to unarchived rhythms with this option turned on. Other rhythms continue on their usual schedules.

In other words, turning on automatic holiday rest and choosing an activity region in the shared Pulse settings is not enough. You also need to turn on this option for every rhythm that should rest on holidays.

03

If the holiday list does not load

Holiday availability can vary by supported region, external data, network connection, and cached data on the device. If the preview is empty or shows an error, check your connection and selected region, then try again.

If an automatic list is unavailable, add the dates you need manually in Pulse Settings > Exceptions.
