OneCentrate/Pulse/Switch connection

PULSE USER GUIDE / SWITCH LINK

Connect Pulse
with Switch

Connect a deadline Switch so it can start when the rhythm begins.

Automatic start works only for occurrences that meet the app and device requirements.

Connect a deadline Switch

The Link screen for Pulse on a Mac in English, with Link to Switch Deadline turned on and Lunch selected
You can connect one deadline Switch to a Pulse rhythm.

Open Link in the rhythm editor, then turn on Link to Switch Deadline. Choose the deadline Switch that should start with this rhythm, then save.

A Switch that does not use deadline mode cannot be selected. If the Switch you need does not appear, check its timer mode first.

02

What happens at the rhythm’s start time

Before the start time, you can review the upcoming Pulse occurrence and its scheduled end time.

When all requirements are met, the connected Switch starts and uses this Pulse occurrence’s end time as its deadline.

If OneCentrate is monitoring the scheduled start and all requirements are met, the connected Switch starts. OneCentrate does not replace the deadline saved in the Switch. It uses the Pulse occurrence’s end time only for this run.

The deadline in the connected Switch remains unchanged after the rhythm ends. The next time you start that Switch directly, it uses its original setting.

Check the automatic-start requirements

  • The Pulse rhythm must be active and unarchived, and the connected Switch must be an unarchived deadline mode.
  • The occurrence cannot fall within a vacation, public holiday, or other exception.
  • On Mac, the OneCentrate process must be running at the start time.
  • On iPhone and iPad, OneCentrate must be open and active on screen.
  • The current device must be one of the rhythm’s notification devices and must be able to run the connected Switch.
  • If another Switch is already running, OneCentrate does not start a replacement.
  • Opening the app later does not start an occurrence whose start time has already passed.
