01
Rest one occurrence or the current week

On Mac, secondary-click the rhythm card. On iPhone or iPad, touch and hold it.
- Turn Off This Alert: Turns off alerts only for the occurrence that matches the selected date and time rule. You can turn them on again from the same menu.
- Rest This Week: Rests this rhythm from today through Sunday of the current week.
Neither action deletes the recurring rule. One occurrence’s alerts or a limited period are treated as an exception, and later occurrences continue under the original rule.
02
Pause a rhythm until you make it active again
If you do not plan to use a rhythm for a while, make it inactive in the rhythm settings. The entire rhythm remains inactive until you make it active again.
Inactive rhythms appear under REST on Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
03
Add vacations and special dates as exceptions

In Pulse Settings > Exceptions, give the exception a name and choose its range.
- Day: Rests all Pulse rhythms on the selected date.
- Date Range: Rests all rhythms from the start date through the end date.
- Time Range: Rests only the occurrences that overlap the selected times on that date.
Removing a saved exception does not create a new schedule. It allows the existing recurring rules to apply again.
04
Set the hours used for half-days

Set your default active hours and lunch hours in Pulse Settings to see the time ranges that count as a morning or afternoon half-day. To rest for an actual half-day, add that date and time range in Exceptions.
