01
Choose the app language

Under Settings > LANGUAGE, follow the system setting or choose Korean, English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese for Taiwan or Hong Kong, German, or French.
Changing the language updates app menus, built-in text, and included content. Names and descriptions you entered for Switch, ki.log, Pulse, and categories remain unchanged.
The selected language setting can sync across devices where account sync is enabled. When you choose a specific language such as Korean, that choice carries over. When you choose System, the choice to follow the system carries over and each device uses its own operating-system language. Two devices using System can therefore display different languages.
Widgets and Live Activities use the language selected in the iPhone or iPad app that provides them. Apple Watch receives the language choice from its paired iPhone, but when System is selected, Watch uses its own system language.
02
Set appearance and the HOME background

- System: Follow the current device's Light or Dark appearance.
- Light: Keep OneCentrate in Light appearance.
- Dark: Keep OneCentrate in Dark appearance.
You can also change the HOME background here. On Mac, choose an image file or photo. On iPhone and iPad, choose from the photo library. You can restore the default OneCentrate background.
The HOME background applies to MAIN on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It does not change individual card artwork. See Set photos, artwork, and colors for card backgrounds.
03
Review notification and sound permissions

Review all three notification conditions:
- Apple system permission: Notifications must be allowed for OneCentrate on the current device.
- OneCentrate app-wide permission: ki.log and Pulse notifications or Switch sounds must be enabled in settings.
- Card settings: Set ki.log alert times, Pulse start and end alerts, and their destination devices on each card.
If system permission is blocked, select its status in OneCentrate settings to open Apple's notification settings and allow it. Mac, iPhone, and iPad each have separate system permissions.
See Manage notifications and permissions for the complete layered structure and checking order.
04
Find notification settings for each feature
- Switch: Set start, end, and transition effects for the mode, then allow playback in device settings.
- ki.log: Set alert times and destination devices for the list, then allow app-wide ki.log notifications.
- Pulse: Set start and end alerts and destination devices for the rhythm, then allow app-wide Pulse notifications.
See Set ki.log alerts and devices and Set Pulse alerts and devices for card-specific steps.
Control Center and Live Activities shown in Settings on iPhone and iPad describe where those features are used. Review Apple's system settings for actual permission and display behavior.
05
Check the device you will use
A specific app-language choice can carry across devices, but System's actual display language, appearance, system notification permission, volume, and sound permissions should be checked on each device you will actually use.
If a widget or Apple Watch still shows older content immediately after a change, open OneCentrate on iPhone, wait for sync, and reopen the relevant screen. If alerts still do not arrive, also review the card's days, time, selected devices, and any exception for the current date.
