OneCentrate/Devices/iPhone and iPad

APPLE DEVICES USER GUIDE / IPHONE AND IPAD

Use OneCentrate on
iPhone and iPad

On iPhone and iPad, you can create, run, and record with OneCentrate's primary features and continue today's flow while you are away from your desk.

Both devices use the same data, but their screen widths and supported system surfaces differ. Review apps, URLs, and permissions separately on each device.

01

Explore MAIN and the bottom tabs

MAIN and bottom tabs on iPad
iPad uses the same bottom tabs and arranges content across a wider screen.

When you open the app, MAIN shows the current time, background, recommended Switch modes, and ki.log lists. Use Switch, ki.log, Pulse, and Analysis at the bottom of the screen.

Open feedback and settings from the buttons at the top of MAIN. If you are new to the app, see Explore MAIN to learn about recommended cards and the purpose of each tab.

02

Create and use the primary features

  • Switch: Create and start a mode, then use Pause, Resume, or End.
  • ki.log: Create a list and add today's check or number of completions.
  • Pulse: Create rhythms that repeat by day and time, and manage their exceptions and alerts.
  • Analysis: Review the flow created over time by Switch sessions, ki.log records, and Pulse schedules.
  • OneCentrate AI: Create Switch, ki.log, and Pulse drafts in conversation, review them, then apply them.

iPhone and iPad both support the primary app flows, including card creation and editing. Choose a complete feature guide from the OneCentrate User Guide.

03

Understand iPhone and iPad layout differences

The wide recent ki.log history screen on iPad in English
On iPad, the wider layout provides more room for editors and record details.

iPhone uses a vertical flow that makes tabs and cards easy to reach with one hand. iPad often shows a wider editor and supporting areas together. The number of visible cards and spacing can also change with the window and orientation.

When the keyboard appears in an iPad editor, the wide iPad layout remains when enough width is available, and its contents adjust to the reduced height. A narrow Split View or Stage Manager window can switch to the compact layout.

The layouts differ, but saved cards and records have the same meaning. Configure device-specific items, such as apps and URLs opened by Switch and photo-library permission, separately on iPhone and iPad.

04

Continue quickly outside the app

The Pulse widget shows the current or next rhythm and today's flow.

Add Switch, ki.log, and Pulse widgets to the Home Screen or Lock Screen on iPhone and iPad. On supported systems, Control Center can also open the app screen for each feature directly.

When requirements are met, the progress of Switch and Pulse can appear in a Live Activity. See Use widgets and Use Live Activities and Dynamic Island for details.

05

Review sync and permissions on each device

  1. Make sure both devices use the same iCloud account and OneCentrate sync is enabled.
  2. Under Settings > MY APPLE DEVICES, confirm that the current iPhone or iPad is registered.
  3. Allow system permissions for the features you use, including notifications, photos, music, and Live Activities.
  4. After changing a card on one device, open OneCentrate on the other and confirm that the latest content appears.

Sync can take time depending on the network and iCloud status. A running Switch is not one session controlled jointly on every device. Handoff is prepared only when both devices run a currently supported app version and confirm the same session, mode, and execution settings. If the conditions do not match, the destination does not take over and the run continues on the original device.

After handoff, the timer and ongoing music, display-awake state, widgets, and Live Activity can continue on the destination. One-time start effects, including opening apps or webpages, the start overlay, and the start sound, do not run again.

See Manage notifications and permissions for permission layers and Understand iCloud and data storage for sync status and data scope.
