01
Choose the one thing you need today

If you chose to explore with samples, select cards on each screen to understand the structure first. If you started fresh, think of one thing you will actually use today.
Start with a short, specific name such as Morning Focus for a Switch or Review Today's Plan for a ki.log list. Using a card once is more useful on your first day than creating many cards.
02
Start what you are doing with Switch

Create a new mode in Switch, then choose a name, category, and simple timer. To begin, choosing either a countdown or a count-up timer is enough.
Select the saved card to start the Switch. Use Pause and then Resume if needed, or choose End to stop it yourself. Only one Switch can run at a time.
For detailed steps, see Create a new Switch mode.
03
Record what you actually did in ki.log

Create a list you want to confirm today in ki.log. Use a single check for something completed once. For an action you repeat, set a daily target and record each completion.
- Single check: Actions where completion matters, such as reviewing today's plan or taking a supplement.
- Count: Actions where the number of completions matters, such as stretching three times.
ki.log does not measure physical quantities such as pages, distance, volume, or weight. Use it for actions that can be recorded as complete or as a number of completions.
To set a recurrence and target, continue to Create a new ki.log list.
04
Add only recurring time to Pulse

You do not need a Pulse for something that happens only once today. If an activity or break repeats every day or on selected days, add its start and end times to Pulse.
It is easier to begin with a name, days, and times. After using the rhythm, add alerts, rest on public holidays, or vacation exceptions if needed.
For the complete process, see Create a new Pulse rhythm.
05
Review the day's traces in Analysis

Open Analysis after you have a Switch session or ki.log record. If you created a Pulse, its recurring schedule is included as well, so you can view planned time and actual records together.
It is fine to have little data on the first day. Use the same flow for a few days, then change the period to more easily see which categories and times appear often.
To learn how each source is represented, see About Analysis.
06
Set up connections after you are familiar with each feature
You can connect a deadline Switch to the start of a Pulse rhythm, or connect Switch completion to a ki.log record. Both connections work only when their conditions are met.
- Start a Switch from Pulse: OneCentrate must be running on that device. On iPhone and iPad, the app must be active and visible on screen.
- Record in ki.log from Switch: One completion record is added to an active, connected ki.log list when the timer completes or the Switch ends by changing to another Switch. No record is added automatically when you end the Switch yourself.
On your first day, try each feature separately. When you understand how they work, follow Connect Pulse and Switch and Set up automatic start and ki.log connections.
